You Can Keep Your Kitchen Layout the Same

The Hanson family loved the layout of their existing kitchen, but wanted an updated look and feel.  The appliances and the sink were located in areas that worked perfectly for their family, so they did not want to spend unnecessary money redesigning their kitchen. Bids from other contractors included lots of costly design changes that often exceeded their allocated budget. When the family met with Country Creek Builders, we not only listened to what they wanted, most importantly, we listened to what they didn’t want.  We came up with a design for the cabinets and electrical without having to make any changes to the existing layout. Not only did the design help the family save money, it gave them exactly what they wanted.

Re-finishing the existing wood floors:

The current hardwood floors showed their age with a shiny, yellowing appearance, which happens over time to oak flooring. Since the decision was made for the cabinet color to be white, it was determined that sanding and refinishing the existing flooring would provide a nice contrast to the new cabinet color.  This saved the family added expenses by not replacing the entire floor.

Designing an accent lighting plan:

A lot of kitchens are designed with lighting under the cabinets.  Country Creek Builders goes that extra step and includes an additional layer of accent lighting on all of our kitchen projects. Layered accent lighting includes: LED strip lighting under the cabinets , LED toe kick lighting, and lighting above the cabinets.  As you can see in our progress video, the addition of this lighting creates an amazing look – one that will be the envy of all your family and friends!

The final product:

The paint color used for the cabinets in this Prior Lake kitchen remodel was Sherwin Williams Alabaster White (SW7008).  Zodiac Coarse Carrara Quartz countertops were fabricated and installed. The tile used for the backsplash was Foggy Morning Athens (BH053) selected from The Tile Shop . The Country Creek Builders team then installed a 7” Crown molding, also painted with Alabaster White, throughout the entire kitchen area giving the project a finished new look.

In the end, the Hanson family was extremely happy with their kitchen remodel. Everything was completed exactly as they wanted without having to change the existing layout of the kitchen. A win for the client AND a win for Country Creek Builders with another satisfied client.
