Country Creek Builders was contracted to build an addition in Eden Praire, MN on the back of the Canake’s home. Country Creek had to completely demo the existing exterior wall, demo the 14 foot tall brick fireplace in order to create the additional space that was desired. New footings were poured, the floor was extended, walls were framed, windows and new siding was then installed. Marvin Windows were installed on the new addition, matching the existing windows. Country Creek Builders used Steel Studs and cement board to frame and build the new fireplace. The homeowner selected “Chestnut Ridge” natural stone with “Jumpers” for the fireplace. A Custom “Winona” heart stone was installed and enhanced and sealed. The Country Creek Team discovered water damage on four corner windows on the south wall during the project. The Country Creek Team repaired the water damage, installed new windows, installed new cedar siding, and then painted the exterior. To give the family room more of an open feeling, we opened up the stair wall going to the second level. We had to re-frame the stairs in order to add Oak stair caps. We then installed cherry Newel post, cherry handrail, and then installed metal spindles. The walls were painted with Sherwin Williams “Griffin”, and new carpet was installed.
