Check out the basement project that the Country Creek Crew just finished in Inver Grove Heights MN. This project will help you with your basement finishing ideas.
The Notch Family of Inver Grove Heights Minnesota hired the Country Creek Builders Crew to finish their lower level basement. The Country Creek Crew had to cut concrete in order to get the plumbing drain to the new wet bar location. After framing the basement, the carpenter skills of Dave, Kyle and Brittney kicked in and the soffits were framed with trays for rope lights. All of the Country Creek Builders basements are designed to creatively hide the heating duct work, part of the basement finishing ideas that you should incorporate into your design.
The Notch’s did not want noise to transfer between the lower level and the main level through the open stair case. Patty – Country Creek’s designer – designed the lower level basement space with a 9-lite glass French door separating the lower level from the staircase. The Country Creek Crew also installed Batt insulation in the ceiling of the basement prior to sheet rock.
Three panel Oak doors were selected for this project. A cinnamon stain was applied to give the Oak a warm feel. The bar and bathroom vanity were finished with the same cinnamon stain. The bar design included bumped out uppers with crown molding and two glass doors. The lower bar cabinets included a space for an under the counter microwave and two mini fridge’s.
Verde Peacock granite was selected for the bar counter tops. The granite for the bathroom vanity is Magma Black granite with a under mount sink. The bathroom floor tile is Arcturus 12 X 24 tile from the Tile Shop. The tile was installed on a diagonal to give the floor a unique look.
