Take a look at the kitchen remodel in Burnsville, MN that the Country Creek Builders team recently finished. This kitchen remodel included three major undertakings; bumping out the existing laundry room into the garage, changing the stair location into the house from the garage and removing the load bearing wall between the family room and the kitchen. We also installed new wood flooring, custom painted kitchen cabinets, granite tops, tile backsplash, under cabinet lights, new recessed lights in the ceiling, pendant lights above the island, and a treated the walls to a fresh coat of paint.
Opening Up the Floorplan
In order to give this kitchen remodel in Burnsville, MN the open feeling that the homeowners desired, the Country Creek Builders crew had to remove a 14 foot long load bearing wall that separated the family room from the kitchen. This process involved installing temporary supports so that we could install two (2) 14′ long LVL load bearing beams. Once the beam was installed the temporary supports were removed. The laundry room was given a new home and increased size by bumping it out into the garage. The laundry room now has room for some much needed cabinetry and counter tops.
Custom white painted cabinets were designed for this project. Every inch of space was used during the design process – including storage on both sides of the island. Granite was installed for the tops, and a white subway tile was used for the backsplash.
This project was very involved, and Country Creek Builders was up for the task.
