No Need to Change Your Kitchen Layout

NO NEED TO CHANGE YOUR KITCHEN LAYOUT

When the Hanson family wanted to update their kitchen, they did not feel the need to change the footprint of their existing kitchen.  The location of the appliances and the sink worked for them, so they did not want to spend money needlessly re-designing their kitchen as other contractors tried to talk them into.  When the Hanson’s meet with Country Creek Builders, we listened to what they wanted, but more importantly, we listened to what they didn’t want.  We came up with a new cabinet and electrical design without changing the existing kitchen layout.  This not only gave them what they wanted, it also saved them money.

RE-FINISHING EXISTING WOOD FLOORS

The existing wood floors in the Hanson home showed the aged yellow and shiny appearance that happens over time to Oak flooring. Since the new kitchen cabinets were going to be white, the decision was made to sand and refinish the existing flooring rather than spend money removing and replacing it.  Once the floors were sanded, a Spice Brown stain was applied, giving the Hanson’s the darker flooring they wanted.

DESIGNING AN ACCENT LIGHTING PLAN

All of today’s kitchen designs include under cabinet lighting, but Country Creek Builders goes the extra step and designs a layered accent lighting plan to our kitchen projects.  Layered accent lighting not only includes LED strip lighting for the under-cabinet lighting, it also includes LED toe kick and above cabinet lighting.  This additional lighting creates and amazing look that is will make your kitchen the envy of your family and friends.  As you can see on our Progress Video – this additional lighting is well worth it.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

The cabinets for this Prior Lake kitchen remodel were painted Alabaster white.  Zodiac Coarse Carrara Quartz counter tops were fabricated and installed.  The splash tile selected from the Tile Shop was Foggy Morning Athens (BH053).  The Country Creek team installed a 7” Crown molding throughout the kitchen area.  The crown molding was painted to match the cabinets.
