When the New Year approaches, we all get ready to celebrate, but for certain companies, this is an exciting time of the year.
They get to announce what color will be used as the color of the year. If you are getting ready to remodel your home with Country Creek Builders, this is an important announcement because it gives you more decorating color options for your Minnesota home remodeling project.
Let's first start with how the color is chosen.
The Pantone Company has a special color matching system, and colors can be based on the environment, what is happening around us, and what is popular in home décor and fashion.
Pantone has been choosing the year's colors for over 20 years, thus giving them the title of “Color Expert.”
The new color announced by Pantone for 2023 is called Viva Magenta (PANTONE 18-1750).
“In this age of technology, we look to draw inspiration from nature and what is real,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
“PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta descends from the red family, and is inspired by the red of cochineal, one of the most precious dyes belonging to the natural dye family as well as one of the strongest and brightest the world has known."
Eiseman says, “Rooted in the primordial, PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta reconnects us to original matter. Invoking the forces of nature, PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta galvanizes our spirit, helping us to build our inner strength.”
Viva Magenta is a very happy and bright color, so a room with a lot of natural light, like a kitchen, would be ideal.
Painting the trim of your kitchen windows adds a fun way to incorporate this color and creates pop in what is usually a neutral space.
If you are remodeling your kitchen or basement, painting an accent wall would be perfect, or picking accessories such as pillows or rugs.
When you are in the design process with Country Creek Builders, remember that you do not need to paint a wall in every room with Living Coral.
You can add accents of this color to each room and pick one room, such as the kitchen wall, to paint this color, adding some brightness and energy to your newly remodeled kitchen, basement, or bathroom.
