The Whalers called Country Creek Builders because they saw our vehicles in the neighborhood completing several remodeling projects in the past two years. These neighborhood projects included one addition, three bathrooms, installation of windows, and a family room remodel. After talking to their neighbors and inspecting our completed projects, they knew that Country Creek Builders would handle their master bath remodel without compromising quality or taking short cuts to get the job done.

Storage, A Must Have in Any Bathroom

After Country Creek Builders met with the Whalers to discuss their project it was clear that they needed more storage. Specifically storage for towels, linens and personal items. The corner soaking tub was never used and took up much needed floor space. Our design for this master bath remodel removed the corner tub, freeing up valuable space for an open floor plan. This additional floor space gave Country Creek Builders the flexibility to creatively design cabinetry for storage, a cabinet with laundry baskets and the addition of a tower linen cabinet on top of the vanity. The Whalers could not be happier with their additional storage – and especially love the new laundry baskets.

A Shower to Envy

The existing shower was so small that there was barely enough room to turn around. And there was definitely no place to store personal care items. Besides a larger shower; a bench was also a must have for this Eden Prairie couple. Removing the large corner tub accommodated their walk-in shower with bench dream. It now fit perfectly into the design of this master bath remodel. A 1’ X 2’ recessed shelf was added to the design of the shower, creating a great storage area for shampoo and other items. To ensure that this shower felt like a spa, a rain head was added along with a hand-held shower handle. The tile for this project was selected from The Tile Shop. The floor tile selected for this master bathroom remodel is a 12” x 24” Premium Antrasit tile. A lighter grey Leyre Gris 8” X 24” tile was selected for the shower walls and installed in a staggered brick pattern. A Victoria Grey 2” x 2” tile was used for the shower floor and the ceiling. To showcase the tile, a frameless door set with clear class was installed to finish off the shower.

The Importance of Well Designed Cabinetry

In place of the old corner tub we designed and built a 90” long vanity with two sinks, a counter top linen cabinet, and a separate cabinet with laundry hampers; plus extra room for storage. Designed Cabinets in Lakeville, MN has been our go to custom cabinet manufacturer for years. Their quality and craftsmanship keeps Country Creek Builders and, more importantly, our clients extremely happy and as usual they exceeded this homeowner’s expectations. The cabinet design for this project consisted of flat panel doors with dovetail drawer boxes, soft close doors and drawers and 3” cove with 7/8” backer for the tower cabinet. The cabinets are painted with Sherwin WilliamsWeb Grey”. Two mirror frames were designed with a taller top rail so that the vanity lights could be installed in the mirror frames. The two lower drawers on the vanity drawer stack were set-up as one deep drawer so that a hair dryer and curling iron could be neatly stored inside the drawer, much like a professional salon. The vanity and storage cabinets were finished off with Viatera Rococo Quartz counter-tops.For more inspiration for your master bath remodel, check out the Country Creek Builders website.
